Live. We do it with our own bodies.

Works. We complete and create iterative systems.

Division. We love authorship.

but,

why now?

Because endless process is no longer radical.

Because audiences are perceptive, embodied, and ready.

Because completion is an act of respect.

Live Works Division exists to hold work that arrives, meets people, and leaves residue—without simplifying its edge or softening its intent.

The Live Works Division (LWD) is a curatorial and developmental arm of Synapse Arts focused on the creation and public presentation of embodied performance work. Led by Co-Director Camila Rivero Pooley, the Division supports projects that prioritize completion, rigor, and meaningful audience engagement across physical, digital, and hybrid formats. LWD is grounded in the belief that audiences are perceptive and capable of complex encounter, and that public presentation is an act of respect. While its structure establishes clear curatorial leadership and accountability, its practice remains relational, warm, and artist-centered—supporting risk, iteration, and work that leaves lasting impact.
