Residency Student
Our kids and adult movement classes are rooted in a values approach. Our Teaching Artists discuss consent and offer accommodations and modifications judgment-free. Every student has autonomy. They can opt out of any photos or videos, and can take breaks when they need. There is no dress code. Students can wear whatever they feel is comfortable and safe, and are allowed to express their own individuality. We serve families, community members, and professional dancers year-round and periodically provide intensive study at other locations through workshops and residencies.
Current classes are taught at four locations: Loyola Park, Berger Park Cultural Center, Lincoln Park Cultural Center, and Clarendon Community Center Park, where Synapse Arts works as an Arts Partner in Residence with the Chicago Park District.

It's finally here! Registration is now available for Inclusive Dance Lab, in partnership with Unfolding Disability Futures.
Join us August 1st and 2nd, 2026, at Loyola Park for two days of classes, workshops, and conversations for movers of all bodies and minds, who are new, and working at beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels of dance technique in Inclusive Dance.
