SYNAPSE ARTS
📅 Saturday October 26
🕒 3:30-4:30pm
📍 1230 W Greenleaf Ave, Chicago IL 60626
FREE
As part of Free Dance Day with Chicago Tap Theatre at Loyola Park.
This workshop draws from Textile Dances, a series of kinetic fabric works devised by Rachel Damon over the last 10 years. Abstract motions drive and follow the textiles, stemming from modern dance, martial arts, and needlecraft choreographies.
All bodies, minds, and identities are invited to take part. Language, lighting, and sound accessibility requests can be made by contacting The Dance Center.
Wear clothes you are comfortable moving in. Bare feet and minimal hair pins or jagged accessories are recommended to minimize textile snags. Face masks, head coverings, binders, earplugs and other comfort tools are welcome. All movements can be modified to the dancer’s preferences.
