about Crosswalk Dances

Crosswalk Dances is a series of traveling performances with choreography customized to pedestrian pathways. Join in a yoga warmup then watch professional dancers enliven the city landscape, and maybe add your own moves! These free dance pop-ups exemplify Synapse Arts’ belief that art can happen anywhere, at any time. Look for dancers wearing bright colors and body speakers that carry the music with them!

The 2023 cast includes Stephanie Anderson, Rachel Damon, Lucas Greeff, Molly Hillson, Jamila Kekulah, Megan Rhyme, Isabelle Taylor, Laura Tennal, Tim Tsang and Chartamia (Shay) Turner.

The series is co-directed by Rachel Damon and Chartamia "Shay" Turner.

All ages, identities, bodies, and minds welcome, access features and wayfinding information to come. Bring a camping chair or a blanket, and enjoy a performance over a family picnic! You are welcome to follow performers as they travel around the park, too.
